100% natural Aquamarine and Morganite beads, AKA Beryl!

Beryl is a classification that encompasses a number of semi-precious gemstones including emerald, morganite, aquamarine, heliodor and some other minerals.

Aquamarine is a blue to blue-green member of the beryl family. With a Mohs hardness of 8, it is one of the harder gemstones and is often found exposed in nature after the surrounding softer rocks have eroded away. The high hardness of aquamarine makes it suitable for long-lasting and durable jewelry.

The first documented discovery of aquamarine took place in 1723 in the Adun-Chalon mountains of Siberia. Today, however, the gemstone is mined mostly in Brazil.

Aquamarine gets its name from the Latin roots ‘aqua’ meaning water and ‘marine’ meaning sea - seawater.

Aquamarine is the birthstone of March.

Morganite is a pink variety of the mineral beryl, with a delicate and soft color ranging from pale to rose pink. It is a popular gemstone due to its rarity, beauty and its association with love and affection. It was named after financier J.P. Morgan in 1911 and has been used in jewelry making for over a century. Morganite is known for its durability and hardness, making it suitable for everyday wear. It is also said to possess spiritual properties, such as promoting inner peace and calming the mind.
